Why was the Recall Ordered?

Consumers in possession of any cashews affected by this recall should discard them immediately or return them to the point of purchase for a refund.
Salmonella is one of the most common causes of food poisoning in the U.S. In most cases, symptoms of the illness last 4-7 days, and most people get better without treatment. However, salmonella can cause more severe illness in children, the elderly, and individuals with impaired immune systems.
Symptoms of salmonella food poisoning include:
- Abdominal cramps
