What's the Problem?
This recall affects all Cycling Sports Group Cannondale Canvas NEO bicycles, according to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC).[1]
"Cycling Sports Group has received eight reports of the fender detaching and contacting the bicycle wheel, two of which resulted in injuries involving bruising and abrasions," CPSC said.
Affected bikes are “e-bicycles” that have an electric assist motor, and were sold in a variety of different colors and sizes. The bikes are marked “Canvas” on the top tube. Read more about product liability lawsuits.
The recalled bicycles were sold at authorized Cannondale dealers nationwide from June 2019 through October 2020 for between $3,200 and $4,200.
If you purchased a bike that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact your local authorized Cannondale dealer or Cycling Sports Group to arrange for a free repair.
This recall began on December 16, 2020.
