What’s the Problem?
According to an FDA Recall Notice [1] issued on December 29, 2022, the recalled Caesar’s Pasta Manicotti was sold to various food service distributors, distributing to restaurants in Philadelphia, PA; Harrisburg, PA; Southeastern NY State; Northeastern PA; and San Juan, PR markets.
The product was distributed in 10 lb. bulk boxes under the brand names Orefresco and Caesar’s Pasta with a “Best By” date of September 28, 2024.
This recall was initiated after a routine sampling program found that Caesar’s Pasta frozen manicotti may contain listeria. FDA and Caesar’s Pasta, LLC, continue their investigation into the source of the contamination.
