What’s the problem?
August 9, 2010 – Today, Bosch Thermotechnology of Londonderry, N.H. recalled about 1,500 service kits for gas-fired boilers that were manufactured by Nefit B.V. Inc of the Netherlands. The use of a silver-colored gas pipe adapter included in the service kit can lead to gas leakage, & poses a fire or explosion hazard to consumers.
The kit, which has the number 8718600187 on the side of the box, was used as part of a program to evaluate the effects of heating water quality on components of Buderus gas-fired condensing gas boilers with model numbers GB142/24, GB142/30, GB142/45, and GB142/60. The model number is located on a label on the bottom left side of the boiler.
The products included in this recall were distributed to plumbing and heating contractors and equipment distributors nationwide from February 2010 through May 2010.
