What’s the Problem?
According to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) [1], this recall affects:
- BORDO CONCRETE DINING TABLE I – SKU # 668603
- BORDO XL CONCRETE TABLE – SKU # 342922
“CB2 has received four reports of the tables collapsing including three reports of injuries involving a laceration and a swollen leg/ankle,” CPSC said.
The recalled dining tables were sold online, at CB2 stores nationwide, and through the CB2 catalog from August 2018 through June 2020 for about $1,500 (Bordo dining table) and $2,300 (Bordo XL dining table).
If you purchased a table that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact CB2 for instructions on how to receive a full refund.
This recall began on October 7, 2020.
EQ3 Dining Tables Recalled Over Impact, Collapse Hazards
EQ3 Ltd. recalled about 20 Scarpa Wood and Glass Round Dining Tables over concerns that the wooden table base can split and/or collapse, causing the glass table top to fall, posing collapse and impact hazards to consumers.
“EQ3 is aware of four incidents where the table base split and/or cracked, causing the table top to slant or fall,” CPSC said. “No injuries have been reported.”
The recalled dining tables were sold at EQ3 Stores and furniture stores nationwide from January 2011 through June 2011 for about $500.
If you purchased a dining table that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact EQ3 to arrange for pickup of the table in exchange for a free replacement product or a full refund.
This recall began on August 12, 2011.
