Update: BMW Recalls 7-Series Cars Amid Reports of Doors Flying Open
May 30, 2017 – BMW is recalling over 45,000 7-Series sedans because the doors may open during driving or refuse to shut. The recall affects model years 2005-08 with BMW’s “Comfort Access” or “Soft Close Automatic” that allows the doors to be closed more gently than traditional doors.
What’s the Problem?
October 5, 2010 – German automaker BMW has announced a recall that affects up to 348,000 5, 6, & 7 series luxury vehicles. The issue is that leaks can develop in the braking system. Vehicles affected by this recall include:
- 2002-08 BMW 745i/Li, 750i/Li, 760i/Li
- 2007-08 BMW Alpina B7 2004-10 BMW 645i and 650i
- 2004-10 BMW 545i and 550i
