What's the Problem?
According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), this recall affects:
- 2020-2021 Bigfoot 25b25FB
- 2020-2021 Bigfoot 25B25RQ
- 2020-2021 Bigfoot 25B21FB
- 2020-2021 Bigfoot 25B21RB
These trailers are equipped with Dometic 3 burner cooking stoves whose saddle valve securing bolts may have been overtightened during production, potentially damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak. "A gas leak can increase the risk of a fire," NHTSA said.
Bigfoot is notifying owners and Dometic dealers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge.
This recall began on February 22, 2021.
