What’s the Problem?
According to an FDA Health Advisory issued Feb. 14, 2020, this recall affects:
- Aunt Jeni’s Home Made, All-Natural Raw Turkey Dinner Dog Food, 5 lb. (2.3kg), lot 175331 NOV2020
The problem was found after the FDA collected 1 retail sample of the product which tested positive for salmonella. FDA is warning the public about Aunt Jeni’s Home Made Frozen Raw Pet Food because it represents a serious threat to human and animal health.
The recalled dog food was sold online and through retail locations, FDA said. If you purchased any of the affected product, you should stop feeding it to your animals and discard it immediately.
FDA issued another Public Health Advisory over Aunt Jeni’s Home Made Frozen Raw Pet Food in August 2019 after 2 varieties of the product tested positive for Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes.
