What’s the Problem?
This recall affects Audi RS5 Coupe vehicles from model years 2018-2019, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
An incorrect positive battery terminal cover was installed on the recalled Audi coupes, NHTSA said. This could cause the 12-volt power supply to be compromised during a crash, preventing the vehicle doors from being opened from the outside, or the hazard warning lights from switching on, increasing risk of injury.
Audi is notifying owners and dealers will replace the positive terminal cover, free of charge.
This recall began on February 7, 2021.
