What's the Problem?
According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the passenger airbag on recalled Audi vehicles may not properly deploy through the instrument panel tear seam in the event of a crash. If this occurs, small plastic parts may enter the cabin, increasing the risk of injury, NHTSA said.
Audi is notifying owners and dealers will replace the instrument panels, free of charge. This recall began on July 10, 2020.
Volkswagen's number for this recall is 70H6.
