Archer Farms Recall Lawsuit

July 23, 2019 – Elevation Foods is recalling a variety of meals sold at Target stores and other major retailers under the Archer Farms brand name due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that causes severe foodborne illness.

The products in question include egg salad, tuna salad, Thai lobster salad, and deviled egg sandwiches, according to a recall notice issued Friday by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

Listeria Symptoms

The following symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes typically last 1 to 3 days, according to Medical News Today:

  • Muscle aches
  • Fever
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea

FDA Recommendation

If you purchased any of the above items, you should not eat them, and either return them to the point of purchase for a refund or discard them immediately. To date, no listeria infections or any other illnesses have been associated with the recalled foods, FDA said.
