J&J Recalls Tylenol Over Sanitation Problems

Tylenol Recall Alert: Johnson & Johnson recalls Tylenol and a host of other medications in what appears to be the company’s latest stroke of bad luck. Consumers advised to avoid the following Tylenol products.

What’s the problem?

January 17, 2011 – Johnson & Johnson McNeil has issued yet another recall involving Tylenol after finding that equipment at a McNeil Healthcare manufacturing plant where the drugs were made was not cleaned properly.

The drugs were manufactured at the Fort Washington, Pennsylvania plant before it was shut down for quality control issues last year. In addition to Tylenol, the massive recall included certain lots of Motrin, Benadryl, and Zyrtec. Tylenol products affected by the latest recall include (Product Name/Lot #/UPC) :
