Safety 1st Sojourn Travel System Recall Lawsuit
On December 18, 2009 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in association with Dorel Juvenile Group Inc. issued a nationwide recall of Safety 1st Sojourn Travel Systems.

What’s the problem?
Approximately 447,000 Travel Systems were recalled because the child restraint handle to the seat can loosen and come off when used as an infant carrier, posing a fall hazard to infants. According to the CPSC, Dorel Juvenile Group has received 77 reports of the child restraint handle fully or partially coming off the car seat/carrier resulting in at least three injuries to infants including bumps, bruises and a head injury.
The recall involves Safety 1st Sojourn Travel Systems that were manufactured from January 6, 2008 through April 6, 2009 with one of the following model numbers: 22-057 DBY; 22-085 DWA; 22-057 CLN; 22-057 HRT; 22-322 HRR; 22-322 PTK; 22-057 LPH, or 22-085 LYN. The model number and manufacture date are located on a label on the side of the car seat/carrier. The stroller portion of the travel system is not affected by this recall.
The Safety 1st Sojourn Travel System was sold at department and juvenile product stores nationwide and manufactured in China.
