Regenerect LawsuitRegeneca, Inc. is now recalling all lots of single capsule RegenErect because of potential health risks. What’s the problem?

February 29, 2012 – The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) issued a press release today stating that Regeneca, Inc. is currently recalling the following product:

  • RegenErect dietary supplement – UPC code 816860010055

RegenErect is sold individually as a blue capsule in foil packets, and was distributed over the Internet to consumers in the United States and Puerto Rico, and given as samples at public events.

This recall was initiated after an independent lab analysis confirmed the presence of tadalafil, making RegenErect an unapproved new drug. Tadalafil is an FDA-approved prescription medication used as a treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). This active ingredient is not listed on RegenErect labels.

The use of RegenErect may be dangerous because the tadalafil contained in the drug has the potential to interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Individuals with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or heart disease are often prescribed nitrates. Men with these conditions often seek dietary supplements like RegenErect to enhance sexual performance.

The FDA is advising any consumers in possession of RegenErect capsules to discard them immediately or return them to the manufacturer for a full refund. If you are experiencing any unusual side effects or health problems after taking RegenErect, you should contact your healthcare professional right away. To date, there have been no injuries reported in connection with this recall.
