Peanut Butter Recall Lawsuit

Over the few past years there have been countless peanut butter and peanut containing product recalls.  Most of peanut butter recalls were initiated after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) became aware of an outbreak of Salmonella food poisoning illnesses.

Currently, there is multi-state outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium infections that have been linked to over approximately 4,000 peanut containing products. This type of Salmonella food poisoning is a serious, life-threatening illness which has the ability to cause death in children, the elderly and/or persons with weakened immune systems.  All of the peanut products associated with this recall were associated with the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), which has filed for bankruptcy.
