Climate Control Footrest Recall Lawsuit
On February 25, 2010 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in association with Fellowes, Inc. issued a nationwide recall of Climate Control Footrests.
If you or somebody you know has been injured or suffered an economic loss from a Climate Control Footrest, you should contact our law firm immediately. You may be entitled to compensation and our lawyers can help.
What’s the problem?
Approximately 1,000 Footrests were recalled because the footrest’s fan can become blocked and overheat when used in the upright position, posing a fire hazard. According to the CPSC, Fellowes has not received any reports of incidents or injuries.
The recall involves footrests that are black and made of plastic. The Fellowes brand item #80309 can be found on the serial label at the bottom side of the footrest, which can be identified by Revision or letter “A” on the label, which appears after the date code.
The Climate Control Footrest was sold by Business to Business resellers only, including Office Depot Business Services Division, SP Richards, Staples Advantage, United Stationers, Tri-Mega, and WW Grainger and manufactured in China. These products were not sold in retail locations.
