What is Accutane?

Accutane is the brand name for the drug isotretinoin, which was developed by Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. for treating severe cystic (nodular) acne. Accutane is also marketed under the names Roaccutane, Amnesteem, Claravis and Sotret.
